Holder Attempts to Halt Fast and Furious FOIA Release

President Obama just recently revealed his intent to embark upon twenty three anti-gun initiatives that would curtail and infringe upon the 2nd Amendment rights of law abiding American citizens.  One of the President’s stated intended initiatives was:

“Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it  widely available to law enforcement.”

In light of  this, it  is quite ironic that the top man at the Department of Justice, United States Attorney General Eric Holder has asked a Federal court to permanently delay a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch.  Matthew Boyle at Breitbart.com, quoted Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton’s outlook on the matter, “It is beyond ironic that the Obama administration has initiated an anti-gun violence push as it seeking to keep secret key documents about its very own Fast and Furious gun walking scandal,”  Indeed it is an understatement to say, “You couldn’t make this stuff up even if you tried,” as one marvels at the hypocrisy displayed by  the Obama Administration.  One merely has to observe the redacted document submitted to satisfy a House subpoena displayed by Representative Darrell Issa to understand that the top brass at the Department of Justice has no interest in making the truth known to the American public about what really happened during Operation Fast and Furious.  It is clear that drug cartels were given access to assault weapons, and that the Department of Justice had its hand in it.  President Obama has attempted to obstruct investigation into this SNAFU with executive privilege protection, even though that has never been permitted to be extended to administration officials aside from the President of the United States throughout the course of American history.

The "transparency" of the Obama Administration.
